NCAA Tournament 2019

I’m guessing we get Notre Dame in the first round in Manchester. Let’s go.

It will be either Notre Dame or Bowling Green. BC losing tonight is good news for Providence, which should sneak in as the 4 seed in the Providence regional. St. Cloud, Minnesota St., Minnesota-Duluth and UMass are all but certain to be the top seeds in their respective regionals. The next level of seeding will be interesting. Three eastern teams will get regional 2 seeds - Clarkson, Northeastern and Quinnipiac. The selection committee likes to send teams to the locations with the best potential for ticket sales, so it's possible NU will be the 2 seed in Manchester with Quinny going to Providence (the top seed there will probably be Minnesota St.) and Clarkson going to Allentown, where the top seed will be Minnesota-Duluth. Ticket sale potential is always a factor in where teams are sent and I wouldn't be surprised if the first round in Manchester is UMass vs. Notre Dame and Northeastern vs. Harvard.

Based on the final Pairwise, it could be Harvard. That would be a cool match up. Northeastern - Notre Dame and UMass-Harvard would be two nice games.

Final Pairwise. AIC takes the 16 slot as Atlantic Hockey champ and Penn State gets bumped.

The speculation on twitter is UMass-Harvard and Clarkson-Notre Dame in Manchester. That's a nice field.

If that's it, then all teams faced on other side of bracket. On paper Harvard looks good, Clarkson seems to have had their number.

I'm assuming tickets go on sale tonight? How does it work...are they sold through UMass?

We will not know ticket information regarding the Regional until at least after the Selection Show - most likely not until tomorrow morning. We will put out information via social media and send out an email as soon as we have the details. Stay tuned!

Harvard, Clarkson and ND would be a good regional for UMass. Northeastern is hot right now, they have one of the nation's best goaltenders, and I'd rather not have them in the bracket. No excuses. The Providence regional would be loaded if the USCHO.com bracketologist is right: Minnesota St. vs. Providence and Cornell vs. Northeastern.

I like everything about this bracket. There won't be any easy games, but nobody in this bracket terrifies me.

For me, getting to Manchester is easier than Providence (I hate Route 146). For us seniors, a 3:00 game is great. I can easily go up and back the same day. There should be an announcement tomorrow about tickets, etc.

Hopeful the militia is already working on a few student buses. I'm sure they are.
