The kid from Finland was small, quick and more offense than defense. Zac Jones will more than fill that role.

Zac Jones can skate backwards faster than most players can skate forward, including himself. He is so effective positionally and can contribute offensively. He's an unexpectedly impactful player. Excited to see him improve even more at @UMassHockey this season.
As for Kessel, this says it better than I could.

Matt Kessel to UMass. Strong, shut-down D at 6'2+/200lbs. Aggressive in his end & takes pride in defending his goal. Plus player who was a +10 in 12 playoff games on the way to a Clark Cup Championship. Mean & rarely out of position. Fmr Miami commit.

Can't wait for hockey to start this year. Last season, I got the fevah, and there's only one cure. So many good young players on this team

D commit. I think he'll be here next year but you can't always tell with hockey recruits. He's on the small side.

3.75⭐️Mike Adamson commits to UMass. Athletic, silky puck moving Dman. Strong base allows him to be aggressive when he defends. Closes quickly as he has an excellent first step. Accurate passer and can separate in space. Great on the PP.

Noah Ellis (RHD) of the Des Moines Bucs looks like a carbon copy of Ryan Johnson (BUF 1st round pick).
Fantastic defender, advanced skating ability and escapability, cerebral passer.
I think he might even have more offensive potential.
One to watch.

Just stumbled across this:

Colin Casey @colin_casey7
Teammate of fellow @UMassHockey commit Josh Lopina of the @LincolnStars
Michaels had 6 goals and 10 assists in his first full season in the USHL.

Has the size (6-3 210) and and experience -Refshirt Senior from StLawrence...hockey’s answer to Woodstock ..to step in for Leonard. Evolved from 9 goals 8 assists as a Freshman to 4 goals 15 assists as a junior
His name is Carson Gicewicz to simplify it from Orchard Park, NY and Nichols School. Played two games this year and missed due to torn ACL in his knee....doesn’t say which...was a captain....
