Recruiting -- 2018 and beyond
Re: Recruiting -- 2018 and beyond
This mock draft has Morrow going in Round 1 and Ufko going in Round 2. That's a pretty strong pair of freshmen D men. Did I miss anyone?

Kazimier Sobieski. The Hampshire Gazette had a nice piece about Kaz a few days ago. He'll probably be here in the Fall 2022.

Cale Makar, Mario Ferraro, John Leonard all left the UM program for the NHL and that didn’t keep them from winning a National Championship! I think they can handle this!!KahunaK wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 8:51 amWell isn't that a kick in the teeth!mdogt12 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 5:17 pm https://www.instagram.com/p/CSC3IRaJIgm ... =copy_link

Re: Recruiting -- 2018 and beyond
Apologize if I missed this elsewhere, but Corey Pronman from the Athletic had a nice summary of the recent World Junior Showcase, and its most impressive players (10 were listed as most impressive).
https://theathletic.com/2743757/2021/08 ... ed-roster/
Scott Morrow, RHD, Carolina (United States)
Morrow’s play at the tournament was a surprise as he had little high-level hockey experience in how often he was involved in the offense. He made plays with his skating and skill, but also made good passes on outlets and in the offensive zone. He can be a little risky with the puck and his defensive zone work still needs cleaning up, but the talent stood out clearly at this camp.

Re: Recruiting -- 2018 and beyond
Ryan Leonard is 16. Plenty of time for him to come to his senses and recommit. However, it seems he wanted to go to a Boston area school.

Re: Recruiting -- 2018 and beyond
^ He seems to be getting better as he gets older (he's only 17). He's now listed at 6'1, 194. Last year he had 24 goals and 33 assists in 26 games. This year so far:
He had interest from North Dakota, Penn State and Michigan per a tweet from Fight Mass. We may not see him for 2 years. To say Mount Saint Charles 18-U right wing Cam O’Neill is off to a hot start is putting it mildly. The '04 from Odenton, Md., has eight goals and 12 assists through nine games for Matt Plante’s team.
