No one did a better job at covering UMass Hockey than Mark. FTT will be sorely missed.

Agree with all of your sentiments. Thanks, Mark! We'll all hold out hope that perhaps we see FTT come alive once again down the road.

Pffft, I don't see what his problem is, between TV and Tablets, kids pretty much raise themselves these days.

Thanks for all you have done for the UMass hockey community, FTT will be missed!

I've enjoyed reading the coverage all these years. I hope someone decides to carry the torch and start intensely covering the hockey program.

^ I know an educator who has summers off and lots of three day weekends. He's also a big UMass hockey fan so maybe he would consider doing some writing.

Thanks for covering UMass hockey all these years. If you gotta stop this is a great point to do it. You got us through the dark years. Now that there is light at the end of the tunnel maybe there will be more folks with your talent who give a damn enough write about it.

Agreed with all the above. Not only one of the best college hockey blogs in the country but one of the best in all of sports. Truly will be missed - that level of dedication and attention to detail doesn't grow on trees.

Eh, he did ok...

Just kidding! Always a pleasure to read it. Hopefully he'll be back eventually... I'm sure the itch will get too strong for him to resist at some point!

Thanks everyone. I'll still be pretty active on Twitter, so be sure to follow me there. I may be more active here as well.

Well done, Mark. I know exactly where you're coming from with trying to juggle family, career, and a UM sports site :)

Saw that you got a nice shout out from Coach

There isn't much hockey news in the summer. I couldn't even remotely do the level of writing that FTT had. I don't think anyone would want to read my rambling, incoherent hockey rants.

^ Floyd - My guess is that on your job you are not surrounded by free ice cream and donuts.
