Games 1 & 2 (2015-16): Colorado College

Post by Marshmont_63 » Sun Oct 04, 2015 5:49 pm

The first two games of the season are this upcoming Friday and Saturday in Colorado. UMass looked good for the most part in the Dalhousie game. All three goalies looked really good. The defense was suspect at times, giving up numerous odd-man rushes and breakaways. Luckily for us, Colorado College isn't that good of a team, as evidenced by their last place ranking in the NCHC preseason coaches poll. They're in a very similar boat as us; they're a bad team in a great conference. My prediction is that we split the series with them and head back to Amherst with a 1-1 record. The freshman will need to step it up to ensure at least one win though. Finally, my prediction is predicated on Kravchenko playing for UMass.

UMass currently up 4-1 after two periods of play in Colorado Springs. Austin Plevy, a freshman and former Merrimack commit, has two goals on the night so far. I think he'll put up numbers like Kravchenko did last year as a freshman.

UMass wins 6-3. Plevy with a hat trick. Always good to get a win, especially on the road. :D :D
UMass Football: 22-3 at home when I was a student.

That's one darn good start for Plevy. Can't ask for more than that.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

6 for 21 is a better percentage than the basketball team shoots 3 pointers!

It was 3-0 Colorado College after two periods, but UMass got 3 goals in a little over two minutes to start the third period. 3-3 game with 15 minutes to go in the third.
