try logging off, then log back on...
clear the cache/cookies...
check your advanced privacy settings and make sure you accept first-party and session cookies as well...
sounds like either a corrupt cookie, or it's being blocked from being accepted...

Damnit-
That was me in the previous post.
Beyond that, if Mike is listening, there ought to be a permissions link on his forum admin tab. From there he can select each forum and set the posting permissions for each page to 'reg'. That ought to require anyone wanting to post to sign in, and should disallow people posting as 'guest' when they've forgotten to log in.
