Why? Lack of support. It's been discussed here before but they have 1 or 2 (something minimal) and they split them up as partial scholarships.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

I suspect that the coach decided to use 3 scholarships recently, one for each of the 3 years, last and the next 2. Softball has a full compliment of scholarships. Because we have 85/87 for football and however we have for hockey we don't have enough to give to baseball. Title XI sets the limits.

The Charlotte place kicker has been struggling lately, but it looks like he may be back on track.

One thing I noticed in the game on Friday was that all the batters stayed all the way back in the box. In fact it looked like a couple of the guys were actually an inch out of the back of the box.

Typical; see the fastballs longer and hit the curves after they have broken.
