Women's lax is doing great. Good luck against Richmond. They need a tougher non conference schedule though. The A-10 really is not that good. If they want to do well in the post season they need to bring in tougher opponents- especially at the end of the year. Good luck to the Minutewomen (my guess is they do not want to be called the lady Gorillas)!!!

HUGE showdown with Richmond this weekend, for A10 crown.

Well, they did play the No. 2 team in the country (16-0 BC) and lost ... and they also played and beat No. 23 (Dartmouth). They also played and beat UConn, which although not ranked this year, usually is.

Also, in my day at UMass (early to mid 80s) while the men were the Gorillas, the women's lacrosse team were the Gazelles.

Another big win for the Gazelles, err, Lady Gorillas, err, Minutewomen - 17-13 over the previously unbeaten in the A10 Richmonds.

Excellent result and this fine season continues.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

The dynasty ends. Nine-time defending champion UMass goes down to Richmond, 12-11 in OT. What a run it has been.

Just a bump in the road for the Dynasty. It will continue on next year.
