SOFTBALL 2017
Re: SOFTBALL 2017
^ I saw something yesterday that I don't think I have seen at any level, baseball or softball. I watched the first two innings of game one before heading for the lax game.
After a very questionable call of an out at first against our leadoff hitter, the Fordham hurler hit three straight batters. We were off and running towards a 7-0 lead after two.

"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

^ Are you trying to cut in on Berkie's crack reporting on the non revenue sports?!

They may be non revenue sports but still need our support.

All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Crushed by Uconn 7-1 . . why in the world is this coach sacrificing to second down 4 to 1 in the 5th?

Every other sport should be leading the conference.78 wrote:Basically in the same boat as just about every other sport at UMass. Didn't agree with the hire when it was made and still don't. Really tough to recruit top softball talent to the Northeast and without Elaine, we may never see UMass softball return to its glory days -- at least for a long time.
We have disagreed on this since Steph was hired. They're 10-3 and already have the tie breaker over Fordham. The Rams and Flyers have yet to play each other so maybe they get some help there. And, if needed, they end the season at Dayton so if all three continue playing well they will have their destiny in their own hands.
Re: SOFTBALL 2017
Good to see the team playing well in conference. Would love to see this team win the A10 tourney.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

If you check Elaine's records you will see that she rarely completed the pre A 10 schedule with much of a winning record. Of course she did play a tougher schedule back then. However she did own the A 10 when conference schedule started.
