I doubt that anyone here picked 29 wins and making it to the A-10 final in their office pool.

Well done, Ladies!

Surprisingly solid season. Unfortunate that they had 13 hits in the second game and could only push across one run.

Meg pitched her heart out in a herculean effort. Had a chance to win in the 6th with a fly ball . . too bad but a great comeback season!

Very proud of this team. They held it together and just got better and better as the season progressed.

It's mentioned in a hoops thread today that only hoops and football players have to sit a year when transferring.

This is not good: http://hailstate.com/news/2017/6/13/sof ... eason.aspx

Always hurts to lose a player, let alone someone as good as this one.

Agreed. Not good at all. Hopefully this freshman can help immediately:

Kiara Oliver, P
North Kingstown High School, Rhode Island
RI Thunder

2016 Max Preps All-American

Her dominance on the mound is something we cannot wait to have here at UMass and will only add to our exceptional staff. She is a very humble, positive and upbeat as a person and player and we are so lucky to have her."

Game 1 in early January? I'm guessing it's not a home game.
