Re: AD Ryan Bamford
^Are you asking who started an existing rumor or are you looking for someone to start a new one?
Re: AD Ryan Bamford
^ apparently an anonymous poster on the football blog said he was in Atlanta yesterday interviewing. The person probably just made the assumption because Ryan did post on Twitter yesterday from Georgia. But John Kennedy said Ryan has a vacation spot on Georgia. So could just be that he's on vacation. He wasn't at the football scrimmage on Saturday.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

Re: AD Ryan Bamford
That would suck...The last thing this athletic program needs is yet another transition. Hopefully there's nothing to this.
Re: AD Ryan Bamford
Bamford doing a live Facebook chat on the UMass Athletics page from 3-3:30 on Thursday.
Re: AD Ryan Bamford
No worries about the GT job. They took Todd Stansbury from Oregon State.

"Hey Phil, can we get some of that Nike money too?" Signed Oregon State.
Raise the bar, do the minimum.
Re: AD Ryan Bamford
Wonder if Bamford realized how low things had gotten before he took this job. My guess is he didn't think that the two major men's winter teams would have a combined 1 win in January, 2017. It seems he had made several good moves with coaches. Now we need to see it pay off in the next few years.

Bamford has erased McCutcheon
Re: AD Ryan Bamford
Was looking at Twitter today and noticed Bamford retweeted a Dan Shaughnessy article about the Patriots.

Maybe Bamford doesn't know all the history of how much Dan craps on UMass. If that's me, I'm not retweeting a freakin thing that Shaughnessy writes. Screw that guy.

Re: AD Ryan Bamford
For those unaware, UMass AD Ryan Bamford has started his own Podcast. Just google search "Plant the Flag UMass Podcast" or if you have an apple device or podcasts app search "Plant The Flag." The 2nd episode recently dropped and so far both episodes have been very good.
Episode 1: Marcus Camby
Episode 2: Marty Meehan
Definitely a must listen and subscription for every member of this board. The Meehan episode in particular was great to get the presidents thoughts on all athletics and makes me VERY optimistic about the direction and future of UMass Athletics.

Getting ready for some big time football and the rise of UMass Athletics, and I check the UM site for some positive info heading into tomorrow and I see that both soccers and field hockey lost and to the athletic powers of UML (MSoc), Siena (WSoc) and UNH (FH)... the secondary sports should have shown more improvement and UM should be a leader at least in the northeast in the “Olympic” sports to help the overall brand.
