Re: Casula to Michigan
everyone bitched about Casula while he was here and now everyone on X is all upset - I mean they are the worst (or one of the worst) teams in FBS! Rumor is they will look outside UMass for replacement.

It seemed like he and Coach Brown worked well together and he liked Amherst but what the hell do I know. Also, any concern of losing offensive recruits? Fully realize that we could gain too. Any rumors on the new hire? Not ideal timing but expected

Couple of football fan boys or girls! Dude sucked and not sad to see him leave be a freaking TE coach! That is where they stick the coaches son who can't coach any other position. Michigan is going to suck, mark my words.MakeMullinsGreatAgain wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 4:51 pm everyone bitched about Casula while he was here and now everyone on X is all upset - I mean they are the worst (or one of the worst) teams in FBS! Would love Whip. The personnel is not geared for a pro style offense right now though, and we can’t can’t afford a reset this year.chapter 11 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 5:06 pm It seemed like he and Coach Brown worked well together and he liked Amherst but what the hell do I know. Well, Shane Waldron parlayed being a UMass TE coach into an NFL job, and he hasn’t really looked back since. Casula made 255,000 at UMass. The TE coach at Michigan made 275,000 last year.

Don't even try to compare Shane Waldron (who coached TE's for the PATRIOTS before he did at UMass) and Casula ! Thousands of other coaches also coached TEs and their careers went nowhere.minutefanjsf wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 7:46 pmWell, Shane Waldron parlayed being a UMass TE coach into an NFL job, and he hasn’t really looked back since. Re: Casula to Michigan
I wasn’t actually comparing their work. Waldron went from the Pats all the way “down” to HS coach and back up through UMass. Casula has been a mid level offensive guy his whole life. I was being a bit facetious with the idea that Casula would parlay anything. The money however is spot on. Casula was a two year OC. UMass needs a seasoned OC who won’t change the dna of the offense too much. Based on the personnel, they need to stick with an option plan at this point. Can’t recruit or replace an entire offense in this time period, IMO. I agree coaching TE is the entry level offensive position on most staffs.dennisdent wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:43 pmCouldn't help myself, but didn't want to pass this one up.minutefanjsf wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 8:36 pmStop stalking me?!
