Oh wow, looks like Christian Wells and Carlos Davis are already in the portal. I thought that Davis was a senior?

Both are graduate transfers with eligibility left. The portal doesn’t “really” open for everyone for a bit.

All in all, I hope that we don't see KLA on this list.

NCAA needs to reinstitute the sit out year if transferring between D1 institutions. Wasn't this only supposed to be during the beginning of COVID initially when they first did this?

Christian Fauria's son leaving Colorado. Would be a nice TE pickup.

The kids entering the portal right now are all graduate transfers. The extra Covid year is a contributing factor for at least two more years since they all got an extra year of eligibility. The real portal where undergrads can transfer hasn’t opened yet.

I'm hoping they do away with being able to transfer as an undergrad and not sit out. It's especially killing fan interest in basketball with all this team hopping.

Division 1 was the only division that had the sit out rule. The one time transfer without sitting out is something I have gotten used to and think it levels the playing field between players and coaches. I think once the extra Covid year is gone (maybe one more year), I think things will slow down on the transfer front.

How many times do I have to say this? I want the rule changed back to pre Covid, you guys don’t need to keep explaining it, I fully understand how the rule goes. It probably does level the playing field with coaches but how many coaches are going to 3 or 4 schools over a 4-5 year period? Answer: zero. Unfortunately it’s becoming the norm for players to bounce from a school at the first sign of adversity or unhappiness. Bringing back the 1 year sit out rule at least will make that kid think twice if they have to wait a full year to play again.

I was saying why I didn’t mind it. I do not think head coaches are shifting that much and that is not what I meant by leveling the playing field. Players can only transfer once as a undergrad without sitting out once. Not three or four schools, unless they grad transfer, and that rule was always there. No sit out as a grad transfer. The leveling the playing field to me is kids can leave once on their own, and if the coach is fired or leaves they can leave too. That could lead to three or four schools, I guess. I think the norm may become three schools for many kids who redshirt where in the past it may have been two, because they get the extra year to graduate and many graduate at early now, anyway.

Agree. KLA is a kid we have to have stay. Absolutely loved watching him this year

I guess I didn't understand the rule fully then. If you do multiple transfers like Tre Mitchell, you have to sit out a year on the second transfer?
