I think it depends on which teams in the P5 we play. Yes, the conferences as a whole are bigger, faster stronger. We played Vanderbilt and Mississippi State in the past fairly competitively and with very few injuries. Hell, we even caught Tennessee once in a down year. The P5 games we played while in the MAC were not always the top of those leagues. I get Auburn had a down year. But, they don’t stay down long.

Auburn showed they still have pretty good talent in the Iron Bowl even if their record stunk this year. If it wasn't for that dope Freeze, they should have beaten Alabama.

We'd all be LOVING playing 3 SEC teams if we were in the SEC.

Based on the last two years, I have zero confidence that this staff can win 5 of 7 flip of the coin games.
Truth. No reason to think otherwise. 5 of 7 coin flip games? Not a chance. That UConn game was a chance to make a statement. Unfortunately it wasn't the statement we wanted to hear.
Very generous giving Umass a 50/50 chance at the Maction finalists who we just lost to at home.

4 guaranteed losses
2 likely losses
1 guaranteed win
5 coin flips but we will likely be underdogs in the 2 road Mac games.

Omg I just had flashbacks of that missed field goal against Vanderbilt. Absolutely brutal.

3 tries to beat a SEC team, if we can somehow do it, that’s the leap this program needs.

2-10. The last two thirds of the schedule is brutal.

Army is going to need to make some scheduling changes next year (maybe Liberty too), so it's entirely possible we lose that game. Hopefully we can schedule an easier opponent for that week (those weeks) and ease out the 2nd half schedule a bit.

The MAC is weak. no reason to fear them 6-0. lose the Georgia and either Liberty or Army or both and try to add three weak teams like Akron, Kent St or Kennesaw St.

That's the way the cookie crumbles. One of these days it will crumble in our favor.

C'mon Steve. What is our record against the MAC teams since the FBS upgrade? Don't think we can casting stones at those schools.

It's not about the past, but every year in the MAC we had 1 win to those teams or more. Zips 2012, Miami OH 2013, Kent and Ball State 2014, EMU and Buffalo 2015.
The A10 lacks upward mobility, a G5 conference gives you possibilities for the future.

So UMass going 1-7, 1-7, 2-6, and 2-6 proves how much the MAC sucks
UMass Football: 22-3 at home when I was a student.

Leave the A-10!
