First quarter follies proved insurmountable.
I think it’s time for a new offensive coordinator. How many plays were called that were designed to go horizontal instead of vertical?

Very disappointing game. I think it was the color guy that said the UConn coaches knew that our QB could not run much with the brace on his foot so they packed the middle to control; our running game Also they said that the QB was having problems pushing off on his right foot throwing passes. Brown should have changed QB's at the half and try to give us a chance to win the game. In the 4 th quarter we played with very little motivation and were only going through the motions.
They posted 20 seniors that were leaving not counting any other who might decided to transfer so there is going to be a lot of recruiting to be done.

It was pathetic. The team just wasn't ready to play which is inexcusable and Puma just hasn't been right all season. I don't get how you come out of the gate like that at home against your biggest rival in the final game of the year.

Is this the time to ponder if the program is headed in the right direction? With a win today I would have said probably. Now, not so sure.

Our defense played on their heels and made a game of it — they came ready to play. Three turnovers in the first quarter could have easily been 21 points and a blowout.
The offense has too many weapons to be unproductive. Time for a change at OC.

geez.. get a grip..they are light years better than two years ago. If next year is 3-9 or 4-8 then you can start to worry..classof62-64 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 4:47 pm Is this the time to ponder if the program is headed in the right direction? At least UMass won't finish last in the FBS this season. There was some improvement but not enough to warrant any excitement for next season.
Brown said in his post game conference that he's staying with this staff. Tired of all the mistakes, penalties, chipiness and overall bad football.
UConn is a level up from UMass and it shows. Better coaching; line play on both sides of the ball; more speed and much better special teams.
We will always have the New Mexico State and Army games to remember!

UConn is not a level up, IMO. UMass played its worst game of the season today. Offensive was putrid, that could be blamed on coaching. I wish Haston had gotten a chance today. Puma just can’t move.dennisdent wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 5:37 pm At least UMass won't finish last in the FBS this season. 3-9 and we beat the Vegas over under on wins. I know it sucks to lose but NMSU and Army were great winsclassof62-64 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 4:47 pm Is this the time to ponder if the program is headed in the right direction? With a win today I would have said probably. Now, not so sure.

Stop stalking me you know it all Dbag (my favorite name for you). Getting blown out by AU/PSU/ASU/LU were the worst games of the season!!! You are the fool that said the team could beat Liberty last week!minutefanjsf wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 5:56 pmUConn is not a level up, IMO. UMass played its worst game of the season today. Re: 2023 Game 12: UConn
I mean, they won as many games as 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 combined IIRC so it’s definitely an improvement. The question is can the program build on this and get 4-5 wins next season?classof62-64 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 4:47 pm Is this the time to ponder if the program is headed in the right direction? UMass Football: 22-3 at home when I was a student.
