2023 Game 5: New Mexico

Post by inthescoop » Mon Sep 18, 2023 10:18 am

Game Information:
Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium
3:30 PM, September 23, 2023
Coverage: ESPN+

Line: UMass -2.5
Over/Under: 49

Let's double down, get the brooms out, and sweep the teams from New Mexico. New Mexico lost to NMSU at home this past week, who we beat, but the -2.5 spread is a bit concerning to me, thought it would have been more.

Must win. Don't know what else to say. Hope Puma is back. Weather forecast looks cloudy and 70 for a high. No rain forecasted right now so weather shouldn't be a factor.

I had heard they hoped Puma would be back by this game. Hopefully he is feeling good and ready to go. Must win. Looks like a great day and they will finally be able to play in front of a home crowd. I think we see a good bounce back performance,

Need to rebound from maybe the most frustrating loss for UMass in the long time. I think they do..

Play this game with passion and discipline and it will come out in UMass's favor. Saturday looks like perfect football weather.

Seeing digital ads for this game on various sites. Good to see the school pushing it. Helmet used in the image has the Script U as well!

Lots of weather experts on here on a Monday for a Saturday game.

When’s the last time we were favorite and won big vs a FBS team? This could be the one. New Mexico blows.

I feel pretty good if Puma is playing, if he is not or goes down real early, this team is going to struggle.

Puma = W

No Puma (or less than 1 half) = L

Is there any lightning in the forecast?

Not that I see, just rain... hence "rainy turn of events"
