That is pretty sweet! Is that a showcase inside the football building somewhere?

Nice find.
My top 3:
Row 2 column 4 ( I believe that's a "Redmen" on the back of the helmet, my intro to UMass football)
Row 5 column 2
Row 3 column 7

Cool exhibit but let’s be honest; lots of poor helmet logos that don’t pop on TV especially. Amazing that a dynamic stylized Black or Maroon “M” hasn’t been deployed. We’ve had some good uniforms (not the all grey abominations) but the helmet has mainly not been a great branding especially on TV. Would love to see the “M” on there.

Re: Helmets
I would like to see the image of the Minute Man incorporated into the UM or just straight up Infantry crossed rifles.
There are so many historical references that can be used, there just needs to be more effort placed into the marketing brand of the product on the field on the helmet. Seems like it would be a low cost ($$$) effort to change the decal. Simply needs to have some creative thinking sans any political correctness concerns around a white man with a rifle. You can illustrate history without it having/implying some underlying tones.

Re: Helmets
No, please, anything but that!
I remember they had the all maroon helmets when I first saw them around 1968. I was five years old, and we sat in the bleachers in the south end zone. I'm still partial to the ones from 1970-1972 with the interlaced UM. I was happy when they revived them 89-92, but that was when we lived in Nashville while I attended Vanderbilt for my MBA, and I don't think I saw any games in that period.

Re: Helmets
Never ever use black helmets again! Just seeing them here makes me feel like vomiting. It fits for the dark time in UMass football history that they were worn.

Re: Helmets
Yep!! maybe an updated take on this logo would be great, but yes.
As a veteran, I also very much appreciated the uniform and logo (row 4, column 4) that UMass wore at fenway for veterans day. I have a signed Isaiah Rodgers jersey from that game; bought during the auction and signed at last years spring game. I'd like to see these uniforms or a version of them worn each year for veterans day. A multicam helmet look would be cool too.

The black helmet with the american flag logo? I'm with the previous poster, no more black helmets ever.UMass'96 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 10:33 amYep!! maybe an updated take on this logo would be great, but yes.

I don’t like the maroon either. Stick with white. Maybe silver or gray as an alternate.Quann wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:56 amThe black helmet with the american flag logo?
