We disagree. You look down upon the 1998 National Championship for no reason what-so-ever, and tell us about it over and over.

Trust me I'm not like Dumb User name or somebody Max Page or whatever. I don't want us to drop back down to FCS or drop football. I want us to be happy for 12 Saturdays in the fall but like Bay Area UMie said: "it's structural". He must work in Silicon Valley or something because he's right. If it were up to me, immediately I'd get rid of Casula. The play calling is horrendous. I'd also swap out some games with G5's for a 1AA or even like NMSU did last season and they played a D2 school to get to 6 wins. Right now we need to get the kids' confidence up. I know we need the P5 bodybag games but they should be at the end of the season, not the beginning. The posters on this board are doing excellent research on coaches salaries and we pay well above the bottom (131). probably the top half of the MAC.
also, leaving the MAC was probably a big mistake. I know we want to stay with the A10 just like UConn rejoined the Big East but we have to move on from the A10. We're the only FBS school in there and all the schools in the A10 were really good generations ago.

That is your opinion and assertion that I look down on the 1998 Natty. I don't. How do you know that I look down on it? It's an achievement and the best coach we ever had Whipple brought us there. I've explained over and over that 1AA is not FBS.

You're joking, right? You literally said this on the last page of this thread:
No disrespect to the 1AA National Championship but that's not the highest level of competition.
And you've said that in other threads as well. It's a National Fucking Championship. Stop shitting on it.

Can we get into 2023? 1998 was along time ago. Should we argue about the undefeated 1963 season?

for the million-th time i'm not shitting on it. What does that mean: shitting on it? I think hockey won a D2 championship a million years ago. should I be happy with that and not the D1 2021 championship? that's like winning the consolation bracket in fantasy football. lets move on to 2023.

How do you know "I look down on the 1998 championship"? That's your opinion. Its a great achievement but we play FBS now.

What's wrong with that statement: no disrespect to the 1AA national championship but its not the highest level of competition? It's fact. FCS is below FBS in level of competition. The FBS level is the highest and best level. More kids go to the NFL from FBS than FCS. If you have kids you know that there are different levels of competition in high school sports. The Hockomock is not at the same level as Bay State Carey or whatever.

Zoo - simple use of the phrase "No disrespect" in today's world is the passive aggressive way of putting something down.

Not directed at you or anyone else here (well, maybe Jack or even at myself) but it's like saying

"don't take this the wrong way, but you're an asshat".

Oh, well if I shouldn't take it the wrong way then I guess being called an asshat is meant to be a compliment???

Zoo - you really need to learn how to consolidate your posts... yikes. I'm not sure you really needed to quote me with a response 4 times in a row, 3 of which were to say the exact same thing.

Also, read what Eldon said, though at this point I'm going to assume that will fly right over your head too.

Don't go by me: I made $6,000 playing blackjack Friday then gave it back Saturday, but I actually think we get a couple wins this year. If the Auburn game is not a shitshow with a ton of injuries; I think we get 2 wins this year (New Mexico & Merrimack) and actually keep a few games close. :o

I'm optimistic about all these Univ of Arizona transfers. Don Brown is in the final lap of his career and I think these kids play their hearts out for him. Just look at Jerry Kill.
