Stop being so positive!

Martin is making 1.65 mil per year! Carvel is making more then 500k, counting annual 25k raise and bonuses.

Ray Wilson's son was one of my close friends and football teammate. The son was always giving out free tickets during that season...

Just thinking this morning that our defense will be even better than last year. If we can just get some representative offense we will be a solid team. I smell close game at Auburn in game #2 then win 4 out of 5. 4-3 (predicting another close loss at NMst) heading into Penn state game..

I would not assume anything Maz.... We are all hopeful that the D will be better (as we do the offense), but until they actually play the games all we can do is hope.

Allegedly the D was better last year than the year before and all that yielded was 1 non FBS victory - the only stat that matters to most.

Well if you use your eyes, you know the defense was improved from 2021 last season. There is no debating this, the 2021 defense was atrocious. Unfortunately the offense last year somehow got worse from 2021. Hence why we had 1 non FBS victory. Pretty simple to figure out.

I agree but we were still 1-11. I just want us to win some damn games.

I agree but if people can’t see the defense was markedly improved last year, I question their football knowledge.

A point which is continually lost on some here. Obviously you need to improve to win, but until you actually do put up some wins, those "improvements" are dubious at most and the vast majority pf people could give a shit without that important part.

Many worthwhile points are lost on morons w/very low football IQs. The team and the program have improved under Coach Brown obviously and we need to continue upgrading the talent especially on offense and hopefully that translates into wins in 2023 - Go UMASS !!!! :D

And once again Jack decides to throw out the insults to make himself feel superior. You must be a hoot at parties....

Just when I was getting ready to turn the page and stop alluding to your insults, you fire it right back up. That's fine, I can do this all day. You just keep on insulting everyone like the elitist prick you are, and I will continue to mock your Dick-ish and holier-than-thou ways. Keep going to games and make a note of all those improvements - and go home after watching a loss - have fun.

More People are not going to go to McGuirk to watch the football team merely lose by less than before. People can and do see improvements. - Contrary to your "Low IQ insult" almost everyone can see the D was better. There are hundreds of stats and metrics that you can point to and show some kind of improvement (or decline). Even though you can point to those as progress, it still comes down to the one stat that matters - WINS. Nobody here (except Maz) is expecting Umass to get to a bowl game any time soon but ranking 131 out of 131 sucks - period.
