Game 9: @ UConn
Ahead of our game this week, it was annoucned that the series has been officially extended (this was already unofficially known).

Of interest, next year's game will be at a Neutral Site... wouldn't be shocked to see another Fenway game.
Who is headed down on Friday? Hoping they have some extended tailgate hours with the night game... they did that for their home opener.
Also of note, their general tailgating policy allows for 5 hours for Season Ticket Holders... would be nice to see UMass do something like that.

Re: Game 9: @ UConn
I bought a couple nice tickets last week. I like to make at least one game a year and this one fit the best. It is sad to say but I will be happy if I treated to a competitive game. Anything else is gravy at this point.
Going to swing through Amherst on my way down to grab a couple pies from Antonio’s. Fingers crossed that isn’t the best part of my quick trip from NY. Lol

That would be a loss of one (1) hour, as UM has four (4) hours before and two (2) hours after. Although many expand that by three (3) hours by not going to the game

UConn will win by no less than 4 TDs

^^^ if we score our usual 10, that means UConn scores a min of 38.. That ain't happening. They have had an unexpected good year but they will still be the 3rd worst team behind Stony Brook and NMSU that we have played this year.

Not sure where I suggested getting rid of the post game tailgate, but ok?
Allowing STH to get in an hour earlier will also alleviate some traffic woes.

After losing to UMass in last year’s Toilet Bowl, puke-on is looking forward to Friday night.

I'll be there for Friday Night lights in E.Htfd. Hoping to see a fun and competitive game w/a UMass victory over the sled hounds.

They also need to use cones, etc. and have multiple lanes coming in off university drive. They had that during Whip 2.0. One lane in to lots 11,22,33 was a complete shit show last game.InnervisionsUMASS wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 8:18 amTruBluMaroon wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 9:14 pm That would be a loss of one (1) hour, as UM has four (4) hours before and two (2) hours after. Re: Game 9: @ UConn
getting right back up on that we will get breaks horse. UMass 24-Uconn 23. Casula does need to be fired though..

^ Another ridiculous prediction by "Maz da Spaz"!
If you want to know why UConn has prospered but we haven't take a look at this from today's Gazette:
MHERST – The football programs at UMass and UConn found themselves in strikingly similar positions after the 2021 season. Both were 1-11 and in need of new leadership. They took big swings at potentially program-changing coaches.
The Minutemen brought back Don Brown on a five-year deal worth $700,00 per year. The Huskies hired former UCLA and Atlanta Falcons head coach Jim Mora with a four-year contract that will pay him $1.5 million this year and increase $100,000 per year.
This says it ALL!

Re: Game 9: @ UConn
Switch this around and Mora takes the UMass job at 800k (that is the whole pay package) and brings Norm Charlton at Maine on (who made 153k as the head coach) and Don Brown takes the UConn job at 1.5mil and hires Casula to run the offense. I bet the records would be flipped also! Edsall made tons of money (1.7mil), and he lost as much as Bell did! Bad hires are the reason, not the salary between UMass and UConn right now!!!tdmass wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 10:21 am ^ Another ridiculous prediction by "Maz da Spaz"!

Re: Game 9: @ UConn
Mora wouldn't take the job here for 800K, that's for sure! My point is UMass always takes the cheap side and it never works! I agree there has
been some horrific hires (including some AD's) especially in the last 12 years and that's been a contributing factor in this mess! As Coach Carvel always says: "You get what you deserve"!

Re: Game 9: @ UConn
Crazy to the think we predicted this as a pick ‘em to start the season and we are getting 15.5. Can’t wait to see the offense try to move the ball tonight.
