Game 6: Liberty (Pride Day)
Rock your rainbow UMass hats with me and all the other LBGTQ supporters this Saturday!! Any chance Don Brown will be rocking one on the sidelines?

I dont like this matchup as both our Offense and Defense may struggle. I know the defense has played well, but we just faced three sub par QBs and that is not the case this week. Liberty 48-7. I do think it will be the last poor game we see besides T A&M

I think the cool day and wind will help…we cover 27-13.

Re: Game 6: Liberty (Pride Day)
Looks like it should be a perfect Fall day... low to mid-50s with clear and sunny skies. Beautiful day for a tailgate and game.
If our offense can drive the ball a bit more, than the D should be able to hold back their offense back a bit as they won't tire out as we get further into the 3rd. If there's a ton of early "3 and outs" and our D is constantly on the field, it will be a very long day...
EDIT: In case there was confusion... we're not winning either way.

We will make fun of them from the stands.. they will make fun of us on the field. A cover would be a win here. They have the ability to burn us over the top.

We have to move a bit. Will likely be over to the side in lot 11 furthest from stadium. We don’t have gridiron passes.stevemaz wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 7:28 amare you going to be in same general area? The entire Liberty team turns into a pillar of salt during the pre-game coin toss and we take a 9-0 forfeit victory.

May I take a different view.... Not for nothin' but Liberty is as conservative/religious/right as any university in the country.
Could this Pride Day thing affect them - anger them in a way that affects them for the better or worse on the field? If they are pissed about this and take it out on Umass it could be ugly. Conversely, they may be angered to a point of distraction and then play poorly as a result?
I am just thinking out loud - I do not really think it will affect them one way or the other, but the human psyche is a thing?

But wouldn't a Raiders of the Lost Ark type ending just seem more appropriate?

I am a huge LBGTQ supporter. My sister is a lipstick lesbian, my son is bisexual, my brother is gay, my best friend is a tran, and my pet cat is queer. I will have a huge gathering at the Liberty game (about 20 or so people est).

Most are on offense. So instead of scoring 10 we score 7..

Lots of big time injuries for UMass today and the line keeps moving in favor of UMass. Classic Vegas manipulation.
Definitely don’t expect a win today but I hope we make it a tough game and grind it out.
