I would like to think/hope we are better than a mediocre FCS team... I'll be positive and chalk last year up to being a complete dumpster fire under Bell.. SB might be as bad as passing as us so that's in our favor.. we run for close to 300 and crack the century mark passing.. we should be beating a team like SB by 40 but thats not where we are right now..24-10 UMass..

Looking rforward to our first home game of the season, especially since we will go another three weeks again with a home game. Should be a good crowd. Always enjoy the students energy and should be a very nice afternoon and expecting a win. Hopefully by 2 touch downs. We've move the ball against some good defenses, so hoping for a lot of good cheering. Have to make the most of our 5 home games.

It would be nice to see them work on some things in the passing game and start to develop that. Playing an FCS at home is a good opportunity for that.

A couple of the betting sites has predictions with commentary of a Stony Brook blowout. I posted them on the other board. Massey has Stony Brook by 3. Sagarin has us winning barely. Vegas has us as a 3pt dog. I think if Campiotti or Zamar plays and we play our hearts out I think we win; else there could be a blowout. I would almost forget the passing game and just run the ball.

You have to go back to 2018 with Whip and the Dusquesne game for that kind of blowout win by us vs a 1AA opponent at home. Watching the URI game was beyond painful. Never forget the 3rd and 16 by them and the QB just takes it to the house.

I'm looking forward to this game. Its great to see Billy Wooden making his first appearance on the depth chart - hopefully Wooden will provide a nice lift for our interior defense. I expect to see UMAss improved on both sides of the ball and that we win an entertaining football game on Saturday afternoon.
