Is 4 star 0.9156 rated Taisun good enough?Uminuteman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 10:50 am Agree IF we have a QB1 BEFORE the week 0 game.
This garbage of "competition is good" is BS. Knowing who is playing and implementing your system is good...end of discussion.

Excellent get. Completely meaningless if there isn't a QB1 before the first game.ZooMass84 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 11:04 amIs 4 star 0.9156 rated Taisun good enough?Uminuteman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 10:50 am Agree IF we have a QB1 BEFORE the week 0 game.

Re: 2023 Recruiting
Agreed. But, there is a chance Davis is better so I wont rule out that he ends up the starter.

Are you saying it’s not helpful to have 2 potential upgrade QBs going into the spring that will compete against each other to win the starter job going into the fall?

I’d say 2 definite upgrades possibly 3. That room has been totally upgraded. The number one from last year got there by default, IMO, due to injury to Dzuro, and likely is the number 5 this year.Worcester_To_Amherst wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 2:22 pm Are you saying it’s not helpful to have 2 potential upgrade QBs going into the spring that will compete against each other to win the starter job going into the fall?

Nope. I'm saying it is not helpful having any number of QBs competing for the starting job going into week 2...3...4...5...6...7...8.
Compete in the preseason. Pick a starter. Implement the system with a consistent presence at QB1.
Ya know, like all successful teams do.

Yes agreed, that’s what I’d think of as a QB competition. Use preseason to determine who’s the best fit to lead the team.

It's frightening when the FB threads are calmer than the mens' BB threads.

Re: 2023 Recruiting
Well the saying is if you have multiple QBs you have no QBs.. last year we had multiple QBs.. this year I think there will be a clear winner. We had no clear starter last year cuz they all were pretty bad.
Re: 2023 Recruiting
Don't have a crystal ball or placed any futures bets at Encore yet on college wins over/unders but I feel optimistic about 2023. As long as no injuries vs Auburn I think we have a shot at 2 wins anyway. We have a nice stretch of home games before the bye week. Don Brown has assembled a nice roster and I think the bad old days of Coach Numbnuts is long gone. You know last year Tulane went from 2-10 to winning the Cotton Bowl and the MAC teams were tough. Casula's play calling was horrendous but I guess we're stuck with himTheInsider wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 3:41 pm Well the saying is if you have multiple QBs you have no QBs.. last year we had multiple QBs.. this year I think there will be a clear winner. Re: 2023 Recruiting
Pretty easy when we're not actively losing football games. (especially when one of our biggest areas of concern is being addressed in multiple good options for QB coming on board next season)
Re: 2023 Recruiting
Here's hoping that we get a commit from DL, Shambre Jackson this week. He and Marcus Bradley (xfer to UMass from Vandy last year) were rated #37 & 22 for defensive lineman, in the class of 2021. Would be an excellent replacement for Marcus Cushnie.
