We would spend cash at the Newman Center to get a decent hamburger once or twice a week. And since we didn't have a lot of cash, it cut down on our beer money for the weekend.
The Pub was the Excaliburger on Sundays and $0.25 Pub Mugs on Wednesdays and Fridays in the late ‘70’s when Happy Hours still existed and were aptly named!!

What a great memory! The guy's name was Bob Chisholm, I believe. He was a student who owned or worked on the first food truck that I ever knew. He parked on the hill aside Van Meter at around 9-10 at night. Grinders and raspberry turnovers. Livin' large! 1958-1960 or so.

Not sure where/when that was…

I delivered pizza from both Bell’s and the Amherst Tower. The Tower stayed open til 2 am on weekends to catch Pub customers with the munchies after 1.

Got to know some of the Pats during the summer of 1970. The team worked out on campus that year. Several players and their various entourages made their way to the Tower for a late night snack after the Pub closed! 8)

bells pizza was the best. They used to come around the dorms with small cheese pizzas for like 3 bucks. They’d sell out in minutes

I worked @ the House of Lord's, pool hall in same strip mall. Owner Ralph Lackey was friend of my Aunt Esther.

Do you remember Constantine?
He worked @ Bell's, probably a Bell's relative.
