^this is the area I grew up. Harrison has never been known to be a football school (a lot of soccer talent has come from Harrison and neighboring Kearny). An interesting story - and a big step up in his coaching career.

Like the new and enhanced benefits for the Gridiron Club. Well done UMass Athletics especially at the $500 All-conference level with one select game access to to the Hunt Hospitality Suite and the special parking and tailgating for the $250 Captain Level.https://www.theminutemenclub.com/umassg ... r-benefits
Greetings! The UMass Gridiron Club is excited to announce new and enhanced benefits for the 2022 football season.
The Gridiron Tailgate (corner of Lot 11 and Stadium Drive) will have a new look this year. The space will feature a large tent and seating area, along with bar-top tables and televisions, for all attendees to enjoy prior to the game. Thomas' Smokey Pit Stop, owned and operated by UMass Football Alumni Darryl Thomas ‘01 and his wife Cassandra ‘01, will again be served at the tailgate.
All Gridiron Club members at the “Captain” donation level ($250) and higher will have access to the pre-game tailgate. The number of passes to the tent is based on giving level and will be verified upon entry.
The Gridiron Club is pleased to share the addition of a parking benefit this year for members at the “Captain” level and higher. A new, dedicated parking section, inside Lot 11, adjacent to the Gridiron Tailgate has been established. This will allow Gridiron Club members a premier parking location with proximity to the tailgating area and the entrance to the stadium. The number of parking passes will also be based on giving level.
The Jim and Ellen Hunt Hospitality Room located inside the Martin Jacobson Football Performance Center will be offered again this year to all Gridiron Club members at the “All-American” donation level ($1,500) and higher.
All donations made since January 1, 2022, will be credited toward your benefits this year. If you have an on-going pledge through December 31, 2022, those donations also count toward this season’s benefits. For information on your current giving level, or to make a 2022 contribution, please contact David Biancamano, Deputy Athletic Director for Advancement, at [email protected].

Did everybody see this:
130. Louisiana: 58-89, (39.5%)
130. UMass: 58-89, (39.5%)
We are tied for the easiest schedule in FBS. Translation: 3-9. Stony Brook, NMSU, and UConn all wins.

building towards 2024 when we open 6-0 and then beat Mizzou to go to 7-0 and enter AP top 25 for first time..

And we are still dead last in the CBS 131.. We play 7 teams the are ranked 99 or worse on that list.. UConn, who we beat and we had an arguably better off-season than is a few spots ahead of us

yep, going to have to win some games in order to gain any respect in the polls.

All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Re: 2022 Season
I figured UMass had the easiest schedule in the country when looking at some preseason rankings.
I think QB play will be the deciding factor on if they get 1-2 wins or 3-5. I really thought they'd bring in an experienced transfer to take the snaps this year and I'm disappointed they did not. Olson got a lot worse as the season went on last year. He was in a really tough position and I don't think him sucking in the full story, but he was bad.
The QB commit from Florida looks good but he's a few years away. I'm hoping they didn't blow their chance to get 4/5 wins this year against an easy schedule by not upgrading at QB. Time will tell.

...On the bright side, we got nowhere to go but up.
Re: 2022 Season
Will the outrageously same day parking rates remain in effect driving away fans and tickets sales.
Totally ridiculous to be charging over $10-20 with last years prices being $40 just to park for URI, Toledo and UConn.
Games Lot Locations Price
Tier 1 (Boston College) Lots surrounding McGuirk Alumni stadium will be unavailable to individuals who have not secured parking in advance of game day $10 in advance only at the following lots: South Stadium Loop Lot, ADA Parking, Lot 22, Lot 33, Lot 14
Tier 2 (UConn, Toledo, URI) South Stadium Loop Lot, ADA Parking, Lot 22, Lot 33, Lot 14 $10 when purchased in advance
$40 cash only on day of game
Tier 3 (Eastern Michigan, Maine) South Stadium Loop Lot, ADA Parking, Lot 22, Lot 33, Lot 14 $10 when purchased in advance
$30 cash only on day of game

Re: 2022 Season
It's much cheaper if you reserve in advance. And it's included with season tickets. Unfortunately, I think it's just another case of "industry best practices" than UMass being uniquely exploitative. Everything's a reservation now: reserve online for movie theaters, museums, hell some post-COVID "hybrid" offices have employees reserve an office/workspace.
UMass needs to avoid any friction in getting people in seats, but it's not like day-of parking is the only option. Given that tailgating culture is a big part of the college football gameday experience, it's also not like you're getting "nothing". I'd argue the more enjoyable part of the day - hopefully Brown can turn that around.
