Don Brown is just what the doctor ordered. I'm sorry, he checks all the boxes and I actually like that he is an older guy. The Tulane game will be very indicative of this season. Barring a blowout, 2022 will be a decent season.

Saturday Blitz predicts us at 5-7. Vegas has our wins over under at 2.5. But Vegas has EVERYBODY at a min of 2.5. I honestly think 3-9; at least 2-10. It kind of sucks AJ Vinatieri bailed on us though. Would have been nice to have his dad in the stands.
5-7 would be incredible. If Brown can pull that off after the last 3 seasons, he's a magician.

^ 5-7 is a reach. I'd be happy with 4-8 this year. Don isn't a magician, but I do expect the defense to be light years ahead of past defenses. However, if they are on the field for 40 minutes a game even a magician would have a hard time winning games.
It still comes down to quarterback play. If there is no threat in the passing game teams will load up on stopping Merriweather. It's incredible to me that he was able to accomplish what he did last year. Let's give him some help this year.

David Copperfield or Penn & Teller!!!! DB will be able to bend spoons with his mind or cut people in half. Call me crazy (I've been married twice), I think we get competitive this year actually win a few games.

I think we are a competent football team that wins 2-4 games this season and a leap to bowl eligibility is a legit possibility next season onward.

Success will be squarely hinged on two things - quarterback play and improvement on defense. Not to mention o-line.
Quarterback play is the largest unknown variable to me...

How retarded is College Football News? They predict NMSU will lose to us on their schedule but we will lose to them on our schedule? How does a team win and lose the same game?

From the UConn blog breaking down their schedule.. "Don is old and UMass is trash, so the Huskies better win this game. This smells like this program’s Paul Pasqualoni hire, except unlike UConn under PP UMass can’t possibly fall any further as a program." Lol. Many over there think Mora is a miracle worker. I guess they seem to forget that when he was at UCLA and he finally had "his" players after winning the first few years with the last staffs recruits they were terrible. Problem now is the last staffs recruits at UConn sucked.
