FROM OUT OF THE ASHES A GREAT PHOENIX WILL RISE
Re: FROM OUT OF THE ASHES A GREAT PHOENIX WILL RISE
As i have prophesized a few times.. I think the Big East is going to expand and it will be Saint Louis and Dayton. The most logical 3rd team is Gonzaga if you take out the fact that they are 2000-3000 miles away... LOL. Because of that fact the second most logical 14th team is UMass. Then UMass and UConn get football only invites to CUSA or MAC the trade-off would be two road games by each school in mens and womens hoops.

If this ever happens, I’m sure we’d all be ecstatic. I’d say MAC for a football only invite with UConn would be the best bet but Conference USA works too.

Yeah but wasn’t UMass to the Big 10 also a prophecy?stevemaz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 6:27 am As i have prophesized a few times.. I was actually going to pay for "Flo" sports then I saw the monthly subscription. I would have paid for a one game subscription no problem.

Yes it was and boy we blew that bigtime. UMass makes just as much sense as Rutgers in the Big Ten is all I can say. a UMass UConn tandem to B1G made all kinds of sense. It just did.ZooMass84 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 12:59 pmYeah but wasn’t UMass to the Big 10 also a prophecy?stevemaz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 6:27 am As i have prophesized a few times.. I am doubling and tripling down on this!
Re: FROM OUT OF THE ASHES A GREAT PHOENIX WILL RISE
I’m actually more excited for football then basketball! We will rise on the gridiron but I think we’re stuck in mediocrity on the hardwood for awhile. Don Brown was a good hire in my eyes. Optimism is a great thing Rise up Phoenix rise up

I’m making my own stevemaz inspired prediction. There are some decent P5 Qb’s grad transfers who will take the starting job from someone. Umass will be part of a small amount of schools with an open starting spot. Don Brown takes advantage and lands an established qb for one year who has a chip on their shoulder and wants to prove their old coach wrong.

good prediction. I think this will happen and I am the first to say 6-6 next year.

This would be excellent. Brady Olson showed some ability, but would benefit greatly from a redshirt year under good coaches.Camby4Life wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 1:32 pm I’m making my own stevemaz inspired prediction. Agreed.
Agreed.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

The New England Patriots just completed year 3 of a 20-year abyss. I have long maintained that the rise of Minutemen Football will coincide with the fall of the Patriots and that it will lead to dramatic increase in fan support, at least out here in WMass. Go UMass!!
