Norfolk State (terrible FCS program) had 13 first downs and 10 points against Toledo. So far UMass 3 first downs!!!

What ever you say! I give you credit for the email!ZooMass84 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 1:16 pmWrong!!! I know about football and sports: I just emailed the Chancellor and Bamford telling them to fire Bell. I don't know if this is a set up but this can't continue. Bell will be 1-27 if he's allowed to stay on through this season.dennisdent wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 1:00 pmOkay you're not a dope--you just don't jack about football!ZooMass84 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:57 pm
I'm no dope: I said IF he wins 3 games I'd give him a contract extension. The reality is we are going to win ZERO games. I am emailing everyone from the Chancellor on down to FIRE WALT BELL NOW. We are going to be 0-12 and I can't believe what is going on. This has to be a set up by Max Page or somebody to kill the football program. We are clearly noncompetitive in any FBS/FCS level or possibly ANY level of football.
Re: Game Five: Toledo
Its not even funny anymore, this is the football version of 79-81 hoops. But hoop had almost no budget to work with. Feel bad for the players, I really do
Time to Win
Re: Game Five: Toledo
Thank you. I emailed them both a thoughtful email and I hope at least one of them reads it. I can't stomach the thought of losing to UConn, URI and Maine. That means we are worse now than when we were in the Yankee Conference. 1963 UMass went 8-0-1 and outscored their opponents 265-12.dennisdent wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 1:18 pmWhat ever you say! Okay you're not a dope--you just don't jack about football!
Re: Game Five: Toledo
I have to ask: is the program going to be dropped after the NMSU loss? 0-12. What recruit in his right mind would want to play for UMass?

Time to drop this program

Drop the coach! What will the band do without the team...
Re: Game Five: Toledo
As bad as this is I think the right coach can turn it around. The fact that it might be the fourth coach since 2012 is the very sad.

Re: Game Five: Toledo
Let's hope UConn wins today so they won't feel the pressure to do so next week. lol

Re: Game Five: Toledo
So the D finally shows up and the O gifts them with 28 points on turnovers. The O needed Lytle today. Not sure what has been worse.. the offensive player calling or the bands music selection for the last 30 years.
Re: Game Five: Toledo
They're actually only down 17-16 going into the 3rd quarter. They actually look like they've been improving week over week since Edsall got canned or retired.
