That was a total embarrassment! Just forfeit the games against the FBS teams for the rest of the season. Saves the injuries and costs.

Will Jimmy Reid be working on his game plan for next week on the plane ride home?

Have you ever seen the "but he hired Carvel" crowd and the "if we see some football improvement this year we'll be ok" crowd in the same room? LOL

Uconn fires their whole staff and now they are up 10-0 on a 3-0 Wyoming... worth a shot
Re: Game Three: CCU
I don’t know what to say about this program. Does Walt realize a defense in football is pretty important because they’ve been horrible since he got here.

They look good--hate saying that. Playing for future jobs and scholarships, unlike our program that acts like they have lifetime tenure...TheInsider wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 3:18 pm Uconn fires their whole staff and now they are up 10-0 on a 3-0 Wyoming... worth a shot
Re: Game Three: CCU
All we need is a UConn turnaround with Oct. 9th right around the corner.

Until the scheme on D changes we can lose to Uconn, Maine, and URI.

Did not see the game thankfully. Just another embarrassing result. Please understand that FBS football is absolutely a waste of time in the North East. Not a viable program. Completely irrelevant in the big picture. This effort does more harm. Not fixable.. Our record is a clear indication of this the past 9 years. It will never be competitive.

Re: Game Three: CCU
Totally wrong! BC just beat a good SEC team Missouri and UConn is beating a 3 - 0 Wyoming team at the half. Its not FBS football in the Northeast, its Walt Bell at UMass, which doesn't work.bunkerhill87 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 4:06 pm Did not see the game thankfully. Just another embarrassing result. Re: Game Three: CCU
I should probably wait a few more games before jumping off a bridge, but in my depressed state of mind, right now, it seems the only way to fix this program is to get Bill Gates type money donated to the program in order to hire a competent coaching staff to develop a competitive fbs football team, and provide the stadium and ancillary assets necessary to support it.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.
Re: Game Three: CCU
^^ Yup. FBS on a tight budget was the original plan. Hasn't changed and this is pretty much how it's been looking since 2012.
Re: Game Three: CCU
^ FBS on a tight budget isn’t working. That’s for sure. It’s pretty clear that in order to compete at the FBS level UMass needs to go big $-wise do something else.
