Game Three: EMU
EMU is hanging in with Wisconsin. They have a really good coach and play hard. A step down from BC, but not as far as it used to be for EMU. If UMass can clean up a lot the mistakes, they have a chance for a win...
Re: Game Three: EMU
Hanging in? What was the score when you posted this, because I wouldn't describe being down by 27 points as hanging in there.
I'd say they're definitely still favored over us (Wisconsin is better than BC), but a win isn't out of the question after what we saw today.

Yup! Not getting blown out in Madison is hanging in there for a program like EMU. Never said a win was out of the question!e_parade wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 9:07 pm Hanging in? What was the score when you posted this, because I wouldn't describe being down by 27 points as hanging in there.

Didn't imply you were saying otherwise though. I was agreeing with what you said in fact.
Re: Game Three: EMU
They scored their only TD in garbage time. Couldn't be prouder of our guys and think we pull off a win next week.e_parade wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 9:07 pm Hanging in? What was the score when you posted this, because I wouldn't describe being down by 27 points as hanging in there.

Re: Game Three: EMU
I figured it had a lot to do with us being in a weird state of being happy about what we saw on the field for once and not sure about how we need to behave.dennisdent wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 10:08 pmMy, bad! I can't believe I'm actually looking foreword to next weeks game!
Re: Game Three: EMU
This will be a good barometer game. I still not sure we're good enough yet to beat even a middle-of-the-pack MAC team, but I would love to eat those words! A competitive game will give me more hope after watching some good things happen vs. BC.

Looks like Vegas wasn’t as high on the 28 point 2nd half
as some of you on here. 18 point home dog to a middle of the pack mac team.

Twitterverse is saying that Lytle is still injured and that Olson will be starting against EMU this weekend.
