Boston College provides free shuttle service to there football games. IDK why UMass can not provide shuttle service from the Mullins Center Loop to McGuirk. Seems kind of outrageous if they are not offered and expect families young and old to walk over a mile!

Speaking of...

REMINDER: Buy your ticket AND parking in advance for this one. For some ridiculous reason, they will not allow you to pay for parking close to the stadium on game day.

If you do not secure your parking pass in advance, you'll have to park up by the Mullins Center or the frozen tundra of Northwest Campus. That can be up to a 30 minute walk.

That's a whole lot of rules to see a winless team.

Thanks for such a nice dig at the football program. You all have experience parking issues getting in and out of the Mullins Center. Now amp that up for 14k or more fans. Football has it's fans.
Go UMass!!

Those Beagles are certainly accommodating to their every day fans! They will bring you from your parking lot in Needham and Brighton right to the campus and don’t worry about your tailgate gear, unless you donate mega-bucks you aren’t tailgating!! Those 30 minutes to and from the stadium are certainly a good time for Joe Average Fan!! If you only walk a mile at the Horseshoe you must be a Mega-donor!!! You can drop your party , young and old off at the stadium and only one person has to walk!!! Or call Uber!! Start saving now for the ride!!

Remember: Just one win saves Bell's year!!! 0-12 and he's probably gone (they'll find the 1.2M to get rid of him). 1-11 and he'll be back!!!

I have a neighbor that is a BC alum. On Thursdays we got to Richards Coffee Shop in downtown Mooresville, NC that contains a veterans museum with displays from the revolutionary war to Afghanistan. Thursday is a coffee social with free coffee and we usually have around 130 vets attending.Today I mentioned that BC is going to play UMass in Amherst and they are favored by 37 points. He said that he would take UMass and the 37 points. His theory is that the BC coach if he has a big lead at halftime will play backups to give them experience. He did not do that in the Holy Cross game for whatever reason so we will see how the game turns out.

This says it all... on Major Boston Sports talk show they are saying that Framingham State would give BC a better game than Umass.

Please don't judge this year just by how it improved over 2019, you can't compare stats from a year that Umass was worse than horrible. I am looking for a team to play football at a level that they are not losing games by more than 14 points or are competitive for at least the first 3 quarters of a game.
Stats can be misleading when you rack up yards against other teams 3rd and 4th string in the second half,

Would the world explode if UMass was to pull off an upset?

the answer would be yes it would explode !! it would give us Umass football fans something to celebrate, which we haven't been able to do in many years.
though it would be only one win, it would give us hope, whereas today we have no hope !!! Wins against 1aa teams will not bring hope.

Clown admins at the school. They cancelled the tailgate. I feel bad for the kids, the administration at the school blows.

Pk77, I hear ya. Even to just see some solid forward progress. Seem to be stuck in a patch of quicksand and sinking. Once proud program should be able to figure this out , no?
