Loyola University Chicago is joining the A10... I know this isn't football related, but clearly the b-ball focused conferences are making moves too. Have to wonder if they are anticipating a departure.

^ Sister Jean to the A-10!

If possible, and I know it's all intertwined, keep the football implications here and the hoop over in that forum.

Could see us easily being squeezed out if Temple ends up going back to the A10 and leaving the AAC. Temple & UConn could be a package deal to either C-USA or the MAC while we get left behind.

Temple has no reason to leave the AAC at this point. They get paid far too much to be a full member in the AAC and are still in a multi-bid league.

True Fact!: Temple football has never, ever, ever... beat a MAC football team that ended the season with a winning record. Temple football can't compete in the MAC. They were terrible and still are.

Temple is to close to the Northeast to ever be able to compete with any mid-west or southern conference. The northeast just doesn't do football.Miami (Oh) Yeah ! wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 11:08 pm True Fact!: Temple football has never, ever, ever... beat a MAC football team that ended the season with a winning record. PAC12 week as well. West Coast and NE are weak in football. College Football Playoff CFP tries so hard to help the PAC12 relevant when all their football teams suck.

West coast football is a million times better than New England football.Miami (Oh) Yeah ! wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 11:17 pm PAC12 week as well. West Coast and NE are weak in football. College Football Playoff CFP tries so hard to help the PAC12 relevant when all their football teams suck.

Thinking about Conference USA as an all sports move..maybe they expand to 14 with a raid of the A10
Current (9): NM St, UTEP, Sam Houston, La Tech, Jax St, FIU, M Tenn, W Kent, and Liberty
Add: UMass all sports
Add: Saint Louis, Dayton, VCU, Rhode Island
Future targets: Temple, Marshall, Buffalo, Old Dom, James Mad, and then Army, Navy, UConn (FB only)

If anything ever happens, It doesn't look like UConn will be UMass' partner.

Wasn't there supposed to be an early December announcement? Something about you had friends in the know and that UMass was going to be made an affiliate member of the NFL, with plans to re-establish NFL Europe and UMass as the crown jewel after playing a transition year in the Canadian football league? Or, am I confusing the grand dios plans here?stevemaz wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 5:33 am Thinking about Conference USA as an all sports move..maybe they expand to 14 with a raid of the A10

Not only that but they'll get the rich experience of playing their home games 1/2 an hour away from the campus in a crumbling stadium!McKinney wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 12:19 pm If anything ever happens, It doesn't look like UConn will be UMass' partner.
