Sources: Conference USA is expected to add Delaware as a new member for the 2025-26 season. The sides have been in talks and a decision is expected to be formalized in the upcoming days.

Just changing the name of this thread to reflect the ongoing nature of the topic. This is going to be a constant topic for the foreseeable future.

There have been swirls that we'll be hearing something soon on the conference front. Just would have been nice to be out infront of this a bit more.

Bamford needs to be fired if we aren't in CUSA asap.

These aren't an official media source, so take it with a grain of salt.

I think Steve81 is correct. UMass all sports and Uconn fb only to the MAC. Uconn provides 2 home and 2 away mens and women's bball games to the MAC based on projected pre-season NET

There was no room for Delaware in the MAC and CUSA is adding to the west in Texas. Probably Tarleton but they'd like to add Missouri State but don't think the bears are interested

Is the new Chancellor aware that we need a new AD? He has the power.

If we are still stuck by next year, I think he will make the move.

............. And it will be too late to get into a conference by then. The damage will already have been done.

NO WAY. With us in the A 10 for BB I get to see them when they come down to play Davidson. In the MAC I will never get to see them play so NO MAC.

I don't comment much on our possible future (or not) conference affiliation. We absolutely need to get into a conference is football is going to have any chance of being relevant. It looks like the MAC or CUSA are our best chances. The problem for me is that I hate both of them but will gladly have us join if invited. What a conundrum.
