A writer from the Greenfield paper said that "UMass football is two years away from being two years away from being competitive." Sounds a little short to me.

Looks like we signed the #13 best Punter recruit on 247 from Australia. Hey, this guy will be punting a lot and if he can do anything to help with our field possession for the defense, this can be a very great underrated signing! 1-12 ranked punters have all committed to a P5 school.

He's committed but not signed. From Mike Traini:
We did speak with Australian punter Tom Weston who confirmed to us that while initially planning to sign in the ESP and enroll early that he was now looking to sign in February and enroll for the summer.

While we believe that Weston will sign in February it is only natural to speculate about players who do not end up putting pen to paper in the ESP these days. The chances increase that they could be somewhere else come February which is the way of the recruiting game.

^Damn.

Well if he's looking for a place to truly showcase his punting skills from Day 1, I will say that UMass is the place.

All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.
