Plays with his hair and flexes...Probably takes breaks to look at himself in the mirror.
This is spot on. Walt may be the worst coach in fbs and fcs but those biceps are swole.
He will look good at his job interview to sell cars or insurance, after stealing millions from UMass. I thought Bamford said that he was an offensive guru and QB coach expert...
I agree but at least Bamford cares, better than the previous guy. Wish we didn't blow off Whipple.

I'd like too but I know what I see and it is really bad. Bell could've recruited some transfer FBS QBs and RBs like most FBS coaches do if they are weak at those positions.

Powell and Wallace are great. Defense is playing their hearts out and God forbid the offense gets a first down

Honestly, both. At least we had some coaching with the team...
As much as I complained about Whipple that last season, at least we competed every game. This is a joke.
I miss Whipple in the worst way. Of course now he's OC at Pitt.

Look at the head coaches we’ve had since Don Brown. Kevin Morris, Charley Molnar, Whipple 2.0 and now bicep boy. It’s no wonder this program is a dumpster fire.

I agree with you except for Whipple 2.0. We got 4 wins in back to back seasons and 2017 COULD have been a bowl season except for all those close losses to start the season 0-6.

So is this going to be our only game this season, or are we planning on playing more? I thought we at least had a few games against other independents scheduled when the school announced football was coming back. Did those games fall through, or am I just imagining them being scheduled in the first place?

As much as they’ve been absolutely gashed with big plays, I’ve seen at least a few hints of some defense. Just really gotta stay in their lanes.

That first series by Johnson was a horror show.

Trying to stay positive but this is tough to watch

Look worse than last year, which was pretty bad. What happened to UMass football? Seriously, how did we get to this point?

We really need to play a 1AA team at home (hopefully a NEC or Patriot league team. A Non scholarship team would be ideal).

I can answer that: we hired a pitiful excuse for a HC (Molnar) who didn't have a clue what he was doing and that basically killed the program. This has been a succession of piss poor seasons and outside of 2017, we should have dropped football. The AD McCutcheon was on his way out the door and when he heard Molnar say "I'm the OC at Notre Dame" our fate was sealed.

Hopefully those games fell through and I hate to say this (I'm a Minuteman Club member): drop football. This is not fair to the kids who play their hearts out and get blown out of every game.

I do not want football dropped and we’re nowhere near that point. I just don’t know where we are going with Bell.

Why punt? What a loser Bell is.

No reason to even be talking about dropping football. This is because of bad hires. Bamford likes pretty boys like himself (some leaders do that) and he is scared of hiring another outside the box type coach like a Whip.
