2021 Recruiting

Post by InnervisionsUMASS » Thu May 21, 2020 7:15 am

Didn't see a thread for this, so I guess I'll start one:

#UMass picks up their 2nd commit of the day, this one in 2021 as McDonogh School (MD) WR Jamir Roberts pledges to the #Minutemen

https://247sports.com/Player/Jamir-Roberts-46101387/

Roberts also held an offer from the Naval Academy in addition to UMass

The Minutemen have landed their first local commit of 2021 in the person of Bishop Feehan QB Brady Olson
https://247sports.com/Player/Brady-Olson-46098820/
Olson chose UMass over Georgia Tech and Colorado State among several others. 6'4" 190 signal caller comes from a recently strong program at Feehan
His offer from Georgia Tech was in late April, which is good to see. We sometimes see offers and don't realize they were from 2 years ago and probably no longer valid.

Olson is a solid signing - Kudos to the Coaching staff for recruiting a legit FBS QB.

Not really picking on Frank. I like his blog a lot, but a humorous typo on our latest recruit. Eldon, if he's 5'5 he dos NOT have long arms.
Eni Falayi, a 5-5 220 pound TE from Williston Northampton School in MA has verbaled to UMass.

Fall high School football canceled in Virginia- will be interesting how this impacts recruiting. Many states will probably follow.

Wow - that will trigger a real domino effect for Fall athletics. It seems everyone is looking for who 'blinks' first.

This isn't for 2021 but it's worth a mention. We were his first offer, when he was in the 8th grade, and it looks like we were way ahead of the curve.

Am I the only one that has a problem with Coach Bell tweeting a video of the detonation of a nuclear bomb when announcing a new recruit?
