He had a lot of trouble catching the ball this year early on.

Yes, but he has to catch the ball. He seemed to have trouble adjusting to the speed/strength of throws. He will put in the work and figure out how to do it. He did it before when he converted from RB to WR at UMass.
He was only targeted 13 times and caught 9 passes. Throw the kid the ball and I bet he catches it much more often than not.

In preseason he was targeted and did not catch it. Reports from Arizona were circulating about this in the preseason.

You said early on, but I appreciate you being specific this time.
Either way, they buried the kid for little to no reason. That's a big reason why they went 5-10-1.

Yes. He was buried for sure and it has to do with the amount of receivers they had as well as the early struggles and also probably not knowing how to integrate him. He is much more than Edelman, etc. He is so fast...

Kliff Kingsberry will be back coaching college within 3 years. Not impressed with him at all.

Always appreciate your fandom IV but if Isabella played every snap for Arizona they would have finished no better than 5-10-1

They lost 4 games by less than a TD, 1 game by a TD and 1 game was a tie. I think if they had better utilized him, especially his downfield explosiveness, they could have won a few of those close games.

In the presser the coach had great praise for Andy and said they need to work him in more. Two catches for 67 yards.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals will be without wide receiver Christian Kirk on Sunday against the Detroit Lions because of a lingering groin injury.
With Kirk out, Kingsbury expects receivers Andy Isabella and KeeSean Johnson to have larger roles this weekend.
Both of the above are from ESPN.com.

^ Frankly, I'm retired, play golf a couple of times a week and that's about it in this Covid environment. Lots of spare time to cruise the internet and if I see something useful that's UMass related I post it. You would be surprised at the amount of crap I see that I don't post.

Had 2 TD’s on 4 catches (4 targets). 1 rush for -6 yards.
Lost 26-23 to Detroit on a game ending FG

No Fitgerald so maybe more Andy on Sunday vs. the Pats?
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

News: 6 hours ago Fitzgerald has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Sine the Pats' season is essentially over, I hope Andy gets 10 receptions for 150 yards and 2 TDs.
