@JoshWalfishDHG
Andrew Ford and Ross Comis DID NOT practice today. Whipple said they’re day-to-day. Will update again Wednesday.

9:35 PM - 17 Sep 2018
Great... looks like our two QB system has put us on our 3rd and 4th string instead of our 2nd or 3rd string. I'm all in favor of utilizing different players according to their strengths, etc. But unfortunately it looks like this may have backfired: loss of confidence from either QB, puts two QBs at significant risk instead of one and then a substitution, sometimes adds energy to the drive but sometimes results in confusion and fumbles.

Hey, Michael Curtis completed more passes than Ford and Comis combined on Saturday. :wink:

What a fucking joke. Only a real dunce could screw up this qb situation.

This probably the best submission in this thread. It pretty much demonstrates that platooning QBs can be done successfully. Unfortunately, Whipple is not doing it successfully.

Sure, when you have two guys who could and would start at 99% of the schools out there, you can likely pull off platooning.

Not for nothin but Comis has been playing much better than Ford this year and he has been more successful in the past against top tier competition, i.e. Florida, etc.

Whipple should be starting and playing Comis, if that's the case. This isn't hard.

Option is a better strategy against superior talent than a spread or pro set.

Bingo! Be a head coach, make a decision and stick with it.

Well regardless of who he chooses if it goes sideways it is because the player made too many mistakes.
