Two meet and greets, two no shows by Whipple. Sick and weather. Hopefully he makes it to the other ones without issue and anyone who went to the ones he missed gets a few drink vouchers!

Nice to see him on 98.5 today with Gresh and Zo (Gresh and Hardy)!

Crap. I forgot about that. But I guess he didn't show so it didn't matter that I forgot?
UMass Football: 22-3 at home when I was a student.

He was there, I think what IV was referring to was the one on Tuesday night. The timing of his post threw me off too but I heard from friends who went that Whipple was excellent tonight at The Fours

Back from Whip event in Lowell tonite...
Mrs. SM accompanied me and the signs...

Whip was there and mingled and answered questions very well...

Unfortunately, very few people were there...
Whip, two Athletics Staff, one AA Staff, and, at most, a dozen fans, including the two of us, per my wife, who did an actual count.

And I hate to give Borges props but it was an excellent piece. Wonder who he copied it from.

That's pretty funny, I read it first thing this morning before there were any comments.

Love this!
SI: What brought you back to UMass?

MW: It was the best place I’ve ever worked. It’s a great place to live and a great place to have a family. I wouldn’t say winning the Super Bowl [with Pittsburgh] was any bigger than winning the national championship at UMass. I had more effect on the team. It is really the place for me to affect more people. I think that’s the bottom line. The NFL, you can impact the quarterback and those things, but this was a way for me to affect the community, the area and more people.
