Did you see the fine print? By then the stadium needs to hold 35K and Umass needs to be a double digit ranked team meaning better than #100.

No way they play that game - and I will even use the Stadium as the excuse not the ranking.

^ And here I thought that BC was working it's way towards the MAC. :) My bad for speed reading.

UConn series "officially" extended. Next year will be a neutral site game (Fenway, maybe?).

Next season’s date, November 25, is the Saturday after Thanksgiving and two (2) weeks before Army-Navy at Gillette. Perhaps using this game as a dry run for Army-Navy….

It's possible, but Gillette sorta holds football on the regular... I can't envision them needing a dry run.

^ Maybe it's me, but I don't see eastern New England fans giving a sh*t about a UMass-puke-on football game. The series should alternate between McGuirk and Rentschler

It's not just you... I agree. But if it was part of getting the series locked in, that's fine by me and that is value enough. I'm still hopeful this translates to a renewed b-ball series.

Agreed LS but just to play devil's advocate, if both teams are decent next year, it may draw the casual EMass - UMass and UConn alum in. We all know how dominant our alumni numbers are inside 495 compared to any other school in the state but UConn has a decent amount of alumni in Eastern Mass as well. I'd love for both programs to have 6+ wins going into this meeting next year.

At this point, let's just hope that "The Problem" still shows up... Although, given the season that he is having and in contrast the season that Casula is having..... it's a toss up at best. The venue and attendance will take care of itself.
