Re: UMass-NFL news
Yes, I’d already seen that fluff piece....my guess is the 12, 13, 14 teams that show up keep the results top secret. If there’s a hidden gem or an interesting prospect for a late round pick they’re not going to let the 16 teams that didn’t show up in on any of the details....maybe I’m wrong on that but I’m guessing these results don’t get logged into some nfl data base for all teams to share. The nfl combine is different, multiple representatives from each team so results don’t need to be secret.

Now that Breneman is not pursuing an NFL career... any chance that someone from UMass gets drafted this year?

Downey is most likely the only draftee level, but I'd be surprised if others don't get FA contracts.inthescoop wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 1:55 pm Now that Breneman is not pursuing an NFL career... any chance that someone from UMass gets drafted this year?

Re: UMass-NFL news
Per Fight Massachusetts, Downey has officially signed with the Ravens.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades
Re: UMass-NFL news
Unfortunately, Downey just cut by the Ravens.

Jackson got burnt worse than toast in the secondary. I know that he had good 40 times but his coverage skills and ball awareness were tragic.
Save your breath... you'll need it to blow up your date
Re: UMass-NFL news
He may end up a practice player/preseason cannon fodder but I hope somehow he sticks. Maybe they feel they can coach him up.

I was wondering if you would chime in on this post. It didn't take very log.

Jeromy Miles was back for the first time since leaving UMass. He’s doing well and said he wants to be closer to the program. He’s got a house in CT so hopefully we see him around more in the coming weeks.
Re: UMass-NFL news
Vlad Ducasse, now with the Bills, just got noted on ESPN highlights as allowing one of the several sacks that Josh Allen encountered today. They did mention that Allen was holding on to the ball too long, so that somewhat exonerates our guy.
