It will be interesting to see whether Uconn comes along as a FB only since its no longer feasible to be Indy unless you are ND.

The Midnight Collective needs to to a better job of transparency and letting us know how they intend to use our donations. Alot of room for improvement
UConn is on a special deal, Jack. Their sports revenues are around 100M (almost 2x ours) and they are in the Big East. Hate to say it but they have an ACC or Big 12 spot waiting for them at some point. Hope they don't win The Big Dance again this year but they are almost a lock for Final Four.

Can someone enlighten us about his UMass background, and his connection to the collective?

Doesn't the MAC play a lot of football games during the mid week ? if so that would drive down home attendance and tailgating significantly as Amherst is so far away and difficult to get to.

Based on this years schedule each team plays either 2 or 3 games on weeknights.

When we were in the MAC before, we played one game midweek. If the league wants us on national or we want that spotlight, that’s when we get the game.

Exactly where in Eastern Mass do you live? Prince Edward Island / The Canary Islands😁

It varies... this past season, for example, Eastern Michigan had 3 weekday games, but 2 were on the road. Miami had 2, both at home.

Either way, this is New England... nothing is far away from anything. People will have MONTHS to plan for this as well, should we be lucky enough to host a mid-week game. Such a strange take.

We hardly ever played any MACtion midweek games during our MAC 1.0 run because we stunk and they put the best MAC matchups on those weeknights. If our athletic dept markets it right I’m sure you could get some good turnouts if we host one of those midweek MACtion games.

11/12/14 - vs Ball State - 8pm start - 24-10 win - 13,374 attendance here

11/18/14 - @ Akron - 7pm start - 6-30 loss - 5,571 attendance there

If 13,374 folks figured out how to make it to a Wednesday night game in 2014, I think folks can figure it out again.

You’re like our Jamie from the Joe Rogan podcast getting timely internet info. Nice work IV!

Now let’s get good enough to be playing these midweek games frequently.

No idea who this Jamie person is since I don't listen to anything Joe Rogan says, but thanks?

According to timeanddate.com
https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/@49 ... &year=2014

It was 45 degrees in Amherst at 6 pm (high of 64 that afternoon) going down to an overnight low of 39.

It was 16 degrees in Akron at 6 pm with 12mph breeze (high of 19 that afternoon) going down to 14 overnight.

Not sure of the post-season ramifications of each game, but I suspect they were minimal.

Ok? My point wasn't to compare, just simply stating facts. Those were the two weekday night games we played when we were in the MAC. Simple as that. I'm sure if we have shitty weather the attendance could be lower. I'm sure if we have great weather the attendance will be great. I'm sure if we are a winning program and fighting for a conference championship, attendance will be great as well. And I'm sure if we suck attendance won't be so great.
