I realize the weather in the division 1 super bowl was awful.....but Watson was not impressive at all.....punting was poor also
He must've had an off day. Given his body of work and accomplishments over the course of his HS career, he gets a pass from me. I don't knoe enough of Massachusetts HS football history. How many schools have won three straight state championships? I'd bet that other than Central - certainly none from the 413.
I'd love to see him at UMass!
I was half right; he de-committed from Nebraska. He verbally committed to Virginia Tech.
Is he able to change his mind again since he has not signed yet?

Interesting to see Pop Watson get suspended indefinitely by VA Tech - still convinced he will come to Umass and this just might expedite the process!

^ It’s not clear what he did that broke team rules, but he did issue a statement apologizing for his actions.
Love to see top local talent at UMass!

It's probably against NCAA regs for Brower to contact him, but we all know that back channels are used.

I agree and I also don't think its out of the question his father gets hired to possibly lure him to UMass

Players usually aren’t suspended indefinitely or issue apologies for doing good things or making positive contributions to the team!
With press coverage, unlike UM, something will leak out.
Am interpreting the “indefinitely” and coaches comment of “….this week.” to mean it can be dealt with and it will go away.

I'm sure if someone wants to venture over to a VT message board they'd be able to get the skinny.

MassLive has a quote from his father that Pop violated curfew. If that's all, he'll be back shortly. Maybe it depends on what he did while he was violating curfew.

Brower and Pop’s father, who’s Central’s head coach. are friends.

If anyone cares (and probably not many do) Watson has been reinstated. So I guess he won't be coming to Amherst anytime soon. It's OK, we have Haston and a very promising QB from Florida coming in next year.

And Amand Haston is a nice freshman. Be interesting how the Midnight Ride can help with retaining players.
Revenue from the A10 is disappointing and does not merit staying
