That's too bad. Behler is one of my favorite announces anywhere, and not just because he's a UMass guy. Best of luck at Boise.

Bob - If you see this thanks for all of your hard work.

You behind the mike enhanced UMass sports for me...whether I was there or not. 8)

You'll be missed.

Enjoy the potatoes

It won't be the same without him, the ultimate pro and was in my opinion
the best we ever had in my 40 years following UMass. Best of luck Bob

Bob -- thanks for the years and the great game broadcasts. You will be missed around here. Have fun with the blue turf. And, Boise is a great city

this is a huge, huge loss and one that I've been dreading for some time now. Bob was a tremendous announcer and an even better person. It was only a matter of time before he was off to greener, or bluer, pastures. UMass has enormous shoes to fill with this hire.

Bob will be missed for sure. I enjoyed hearing Bob call football and basketball games.

Let me be the first though to say "GIVE GEORGE HIS JOB BACK!!!!" Everybody associated with the Cal years is gone, let bygones be bygones and give the job to the only common sense choice out there!!!

Kosty, you and I again find common ground. George should be the choice. The only downside would be that they might try to use Yellin again for the PA and the return of the monster truck calls

boise state is lucky to have him, but judging by the comments below that article, bob has some stubborn, east-coast-hating small-time sports fans to deal with. i've never been to boise and have no desire to ever go to boise, but i bet those people would rather have their drunk uncle call games on the radio than someone who will know what he's talking about and act like a true professional. it should be an interesting transition for bob and one i wish him luck with.

I will miss Bob as a person even more than as an announcer. His kindness and gentleness shines brightly. Boise State is damn lucky.

Bob is a first rate guy and I wish him the best. I'm pretty sure he's a huge college football fan (he went to Georgia), so this is definitely an upgrade professionally. That said, he will be missed. He truly was a class act and UMass was lucky to hold onto him for all these years. As far as a replacement goes, I hope we bring in another talent. I'd be fine going with George, but I'm not against bringing in a talented, relative novice if they are good at the job.
