I dont see a team willing to pay 4 million per settling for a coach with no NCAA tourney's. But thats me.

Didn't Travis just sign an extension after the whole Providence thing??? I would imagine it's got a pretty high buyout.

You never know -- From what I could tell, Ford was in the driver's seat regarding negotiating his extension. Assuming he ever wants to leave a relatively low buyout would be in his best interest, so he probably has one.

Nonetheless, I'd be shocked if he left at this point.

Even if there is a high buyout, do we know that Ford has actually signed the contract yet? Just because they agreed to it last week, that doesn't mean it is finalized.

I'm sorry to say it, but if that job is offered I think it would be expecting way to much for Ford to turn it down. OSU is one of the better jobs in the country given their resources, a buyout surely won't stand in T. Boone's way.

Lowrey turned them down to stay with the Salukis. If they're looking at Ford then they have looked at Sean Miller and Anthony Grant too.

Who knows? As a UMass fan I think I'll take a week off and spend my time on something less speculative than this Annual Testosterone Tournament.

Swampy: I doubt, no, I can promise you that OSU has NO interest in Anthony Grant.

Remember the days when respectable coaches pulled out of job searches with schools, announced they were staying and had contract extensions, and made it clear they weren't going anywhere else by turning down interviews and meetings? Guys like Sean Miller, Martelli...

Here we go again. I'm not sure I can handle another week of this.

This is getting tiring. If this keeps up he is going to leave either this year or next year so its time to call Rick Pitino. Rick is sending us good coaches.

My guess is that Ford's real salary is closer to 750K, not the announced 500K. I don't see President Wilson increasing it again so if he leaves lets get an experienced coach with a lot of credibility Al Skinner.

Any news on LOI's that might have come in today? We aren't going to get any if there are new rumors every week.

After the events of last week, I'm not buying into this one.

To Quinn's point...didn't TF say he was staying after the PC thing...that UMass is "home to me now"?

Didn't McCutcheon confidently announce that TF would the the UMass for "years to come"? I dojn't remember seeing terms of his raise announced, but I believe he's signed through the 2014-15 season.

Rivals said he interviewed "recently".

What the hell does that mean? How vague can you get!

Sources: Ford likely to succeed Sutton at Oklahoma State
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3349529
Multiple sources have confirmed that barring unforseen circumstances, Massachusetts coach Travis Ford is expected to be named the new head coach at Oklahoma State, ESPN's Doug Gottlieb reported.
F*CK.
