He'll be teammates with Temple's Dionte Christmas.

On the downside, Tony is the oldest player on the roster, by over a year. His window for making it to the big show is closing. Hopefully he can make it.

Tony's not suited up in the first summer league game in orlando against the heat...

Groin strain. Guy can't catch a break. Injury now of all times? Last shot at the nba realistically. He's saying he should be ready for the next game but man is this awful timing.

Tony was understandably down about it, and Gary Forbes spurred him with some motivation.

I'm pretty sure if Tony averaged 33.9 ppg he wouldn't have to worry about playing Summer League

It looks like this guy is basing his evaluation of Tony on his stats from this one game. His description of Tony's strengths is absurd.

It's obvious that the guy who wrote this knows next to nothing about Tony. First off he didn't average 15 a game let alone 33 which likely would have led the country and made him a consensus All-American. Second, he is not a prolific scorer, his skill set that could potentially land him an NBA gig is defensive versatility, he could potentially guard some 2's, 3's and maybe smaller 4's. He has pretty good athleticism and length. If he knocked down a few jumpers, finished in transition and got a few opportunistic buckets in the paint then that would be gravy....

Needless to say that Bleacher Report is an effing joke. I still can't believe CNN replaced SI.com with them as their sports provider. Ridiculous really. I'm pretty sure that about 80% of what is said in any Bleacher Report story is complete bullshit.

This guy clearly knew nothing about Gaffney before he wrote this.

Judging by Tony's FB status it looks like he done for the summer with hoop. Said his summer begins tomorrow and is looking for a golf partner. Obviously since the Orlando league is done, he's done there. Hopefully, the guy catches on with someone. Maybe I'm biased because of my love for TG and UMass but there's no way I can't see Tony being able to help a team. He's got to be able to find a spot/role with someone! Anyways, I'm glad he finally got to play the final 3 games, and had a very nice performance against Brooklyn
Hire Matt McCall!
