You just said they were "serial" and comparable in volume and content to Knight. I simply wanted you to back that up.

As far as the English definition of serial, I dont think three in 40 some odd years covers it.

Not positive, but I feel like I read that he was conducting practice. Anyone know for sure??

Some career counseling offered to Chaney for his next job. A worthy read.

FWIIW -

Today's Mark Blowhard piece had 2 tidbits worth noting:

- A10 probably only has one at-large entry (GW) - so probably max 2 - no surprise there.

- He put in a plug for BRU as next Temple coach!!!!!!!

There's actually a good debate raging on the board at Temple's Rivals site about whether Bru should be the next coach or not.

I think Bru certainly deserves consideration at a place like Temple based upon his achievements at Drexel. He might have been in a little over his head when he first took over UMass, but it's obvious by his recent successes that he's learned and come a long way.

Just what Bru needs, getting himself into another no-win situation.

Temple has announced that Chaney will be coaching in the NIT - I think this is ridiculous given his behavior. I dont think the self-suspension ,followed by the Temple president's A10 playoff suspension, is enough.

The school may just want to let him have his swan song after so many years and let him begin his trek into the sunset from the sidelines.

I say let him coach, but I think Temple should seriously sit him down and let him know that maybe it's time to retire.
