Time to get this season into 2d gear and go out and play 40 minutes of great UMass Basketball and build some momentum heading into the heart of the schedule.
It's really disappointing to see fans quitting on the team and Coach Lappas so early in the season. I'm really sick of the Lappas-haters like you on this board.

I think you are mis-reading what I wrote, if that post was directed towards me (might have been to Vox).

I thought what you posted and this thread are great and informative. And I appreciated the info about the change.

I also am fully aware that at-large and Umass are long-shots to hear in the same sentence this year.

He's talking to me. Didn't you catch the part where it said the posts were "great and informative?"

What site are you guys getting the RPI and SOS? I know CollegeRPI.com is a pay site now. What are the alternatives.

Ken Pomeroy has a slightly different view: RPI: #94 SOS #45. I wonder which is closer to the NCAA version.

BC has played 7 out of their 8 games at home against weak opponents. How do they get the #1 RPI?

If you don't lose you shoot right to the top. But there are a handful of other Top 25 schools that also haven't lost, so I don't get it either.

BC's opponents have a 35-15 regord against the other teams on their schedules. It's still early enough in the season where a win over 6-2 BU has similar weight to a win over say a 6-2 Michigan St. or Maryland or something like that. And they have two wins over teams that are currently in the top 20 in the RPI (Clemson and Holy Cross) that probably won't find themselves ranked in that range come selection Sunday.

It's just quirky right now, basically.
