BU beat Hartford 73-22 last night. Hartford had more turnovers (24) than points.

I was shocked when I saw that BU/Hartford score on the sports ticker last night. Why can't we schedule some nice easy cupcake teams like that????????

Even 13.5 months separated, that's still embarrassing.

In that case we should go for some real cupcakes, like Central CT state, or some crap ass program like that.

After George Washington:

RPI: #49 SOS: #4

There's been a lot of basketball played and that SOS number is rather startling. The next 10 are against SOS drains (an average RPI rank of 216.5), but they are also very, very beatable opponents. The SOS will drop, but winning 8 or 9 of these games will offest that in the overall RPI, I would think. 9 wins puts UMass at 17-7 (either 8-3 or 9-2 in the A-10) going into Temple.

Just curious, but why does this RPI ranking have the Minutemen at 47 with an SOS of 4?

After today's game we play only two teams with an RPI under 138. Granted that is subject to change but still pretty favorable considering we stand at #49.

CollegeRPI.com is only updated each Monday, but prior to the Temple and GW games, it has UMass ranked 71.
