Game 20, 2023-24: at Saint Louis (1/27)

We do need a road win to get us back on track. A few tidbits about SLU, just using conference stats:

They give up 80 points a game (score 69)
They commit 5 more turnovers per game than the other team
The other team shoots 9 more free throws a game

They lost a pretty good player on Monday. A 6'7 transfer from Tulsa:

ST. LOUIS – Tim Dalger has left the Saint Louis men's basketball program due to a personal family matter, he announced today.
Dalger was in his fifth year of eligibility, and first at SLU, as a graduate transfer from Tulsa. He appeared in all 18 games and averaged 9.7 points and 4.1 rebounds.

Wayyyyy late on this but Dalger is the one who threw the punch at the end of the game against Charlotte in the Myrtle Beach invitational semis last year before we played Charlotte in the final.

Will, I also appreciate the time and effort you put into grading after each game. I think you might be just a tad generous. If everyone played at an A or B level we would win by double digits.

Oh, wait - we did win by double digits. It just didn't feel like it. But I'll take any conference win on the road.

Thanks 69MG! I agree with you about the grade inflation, but at least you know they must have been really terrible if they get a C or less based on my grading system!

Thought the board would have been all over it but Ford got fired a month ago. Kind of flew under the radar. I only knew because the specs guy from Indiana st is transferring there

I thought Ford was our best coach since Cal and currently Frank. That being said, ford is a guy who has had more chances than deserved so no tears for this guy!
